How can you cultivate thankfulness? Here are some ideas:
1) Start a journal where you write down prayers of thanksgiving each morning.
2) Close your day in prayer, reflecting on the goodness of God and thanking Him for blessing you.
3) Telling yourself, “I will be thankful today for…”
4) When ungratefulness arises, pray immediately, “Help me kill the sin of complaining and fill my heart with thankfulness.”
5) Do not tolerate ungrateful attitudes in your children. Model thankfulness for them in how you talk/act. Discipline their hearts to be happy for what they have.
