I love that my kids are in Gods word!
This is the first kids devotion that I have seen where kids are actually opening the Bible and reading it for themselves! We’ve had a few other children’s devotions where they have a short scripture listed in the book but I love that my kids are having to look up verses themselves in their own bibles! I love the HEAR method and use it myself in my own Bible time so I also love that my kids are learning a method of Bible study that they will use for their whole life. My children are 9 and 10 and I think it’s the perfect age for them to complete on their own and we talk about what they are learning afterwards. I think the font could be a little more kid friendly but other than that we are really enjoying it!

We got this devotional for our 8 year old 3rd grader to use in our homeschooling in place of a more formal bible curriculum. I wanted something that would require him go look up verses and read from his own bible, but also wanted it to be something he could do on his own for the most part. We LOVE this devotion, my son is able to start and work through it and then we discuss it together and the take away and discussions have been so valuable in building his faith and understanding :)

Was looking for a way to get my 10 year old used to daily reading and become responsible on her own. The older version of this book my older kiddo has, but I wasn't sure my 10 year old was ready for so much reading daily ( we are still working on not grumbling). Anywho, this only requires like 1 verse for young kids and 2ish for "older" so I was a little dissapointed... but, that being said, It is a sound reading plan, and I think it is perfect to get my child in the routine of daily reading. I would rather do this first than push her into a lot of reading and have her resent reading her bible. Tiny steps! We are 2 months in, I highly reccomend- my 12 year old is doing the teen version and loves it as well.
