1) We need Biblical community (Gen 2:18)
We need each other and are hard-wired for a community that connects us to God and other believers. Without it we struggle.
2) God’s kind of community is diverse (Col. 3:11)
Biblical community isn’t about just finding cool people or people like us to journey with. It brings people together that are different. Those differences help us learn and grow.
3) Biblical Community Requires Authenticity and Perseverance (Col 3)
Journeying with people that are different from us creates tension/conflictIt is easy to give up, but God challenges us to work through those things and stick it out until we grow and transform.
4) True Biblical Community inspires and challenges us (Acts 2, Heb. 10)
Community should challenge us to live sent. To serve others, to share our faith, to step out of our comfort zone. It will be hard, but doing it together makes it possible.
5) Without Community, we will struggle!
